With
it's beautiful golden beaches, mountain peaks and medieval hill
top villages, Languedoc-Roussillon is one of France's most diverse
landscapes. Officially the sunniest region in the country, it is
also France's wine growing capital and probably the largest wine
growing area in the world. The name Languedoc comes from the language
Occitan and means literally 'Langue d'Oc'.
